A Special Therapy Center For the Special Child

ABA is widely recognized as a standard of excellent care for children with Autism and related disabilities, yet often times, our special children need much more than just a single treatment path.

Chokmah’s unique ABA programming is able to integrate research-based techniques that enhance the impact of each therapy session, so that appropriate and effective communication, emotional and sensorial regulation, and effective social skills are developed in natural settings that recognize the inherent value of each individual.

Our inclusive programs develop compassionate leadership skills in youth with great potential who may have experienced social challenges in the past. Chokmah bridges the most effective clinical and educational methodologies to serve the whole child and maximize the potential within every single therapy session.

About Us

Helping Children Reach Their True Potential

Beyond supporting the developmental needs of individuals with special abilities, beginning at age 2 through adults, Chokmah’s approach to supporting the whole child and his or her family led the organization to develop a unique ABA division that is able to integrate methodologies from various fields. The unique programming was developed under the guidance of highly recognized and respected leaders in our community, and has proven to support children and youth as they grow their abilities in pro-social language and behavior, as well as to develop compassionate leadership skills in youth who may have experienced social challenges in the past.

With Chokmah’s support, children learn how to communicate effectively, even when they must regulate strong emotions or sensorial needs. They learn the skills to not only live independently, but to contribute positively to friendships, classrooms, and community activities.

For our youth with exceptional abilities or creativity, developing self- empowering and pro-social behavior may present as being able to effectively express their ideas to local authorities, or establish and run their own business from a young age, providing them with the confidence of knowing that they can make a difference in the world, and that their dreams do not need to just be dreams.

Chokmah coordinates with outstanding community organizations to provide customized support services that may integrate different therapy modalities for children who benefit from a more complete team of field expertise including academic, medical, clinical, and complimentary medicine.

Chokmah, which means “wisdom” in Hebrew, believes in the intrinsic value of all children, and believes that all children and youth possess the capability to grow and develop to their maximum potentials at their own pace, whether it is facilitating natural conversation or developing the leadership and entrepreneurial capacity in youth, regardless if they are gifted and inspired, or with untapped capacity, and working through specific challenges.

Through our “Future Business Owners Think Tank” program, we create inclusive environments that help youth clarify their own visions for their own self-employment, and then structure resources and strategies with them to help them actually create and maintain their own income-producing businesses, always while developing those inner characteristics of leadership, civic responsibility, compassion, and self-awareness that are foundational for any successful community or business leader, regardless of age.

Our collaboration with leading community organizations allows us the opportunity to develop communication, appropriate play and study skills, effective social and self-care abilities, and civic leadership in youth of varying ages and functional experiences.
